Lover Heart

The Lover Heart was my first project/design that I published on Thingiverse. I created it for the S.T.E.A.M challenge on Thingiverse, Light it Up. The Lover Heart is a wearable accessory that starts lighting when 2 of them are next to each other. Thanks to its versatile stitching holes, you and your lover can use it as a necklace, bracelet or even stitch it to a t-shirt or hat! I designed the Lover Heart using Autodesk Fusion 360. There are two circuits in the Lover Heart which are the “infrared heartbeat transmitter” and the “heartbeat light”. The infrared heartbeat transmitter is a simple 1 hertz clock which is connected to an infrared LED. The heartbeat light is the circuit that receives the transmitted IR light with IR receiver and it drives a red LED simulating the heartbeat. The circuit is powered by two CR2025 batteries. The 3D design is meant to fit two batteries and two circuits. The 3D design consists of two pieces for easy repair and change of batteries. I had to redesign the height of the interior because of the components’ size. It works with an infrared receiver and infrared transmitter.
