In our art class at school, we got to choose what we were doing in the final project. So I decided to make a project that would combine my 2 favorite things, being cars and arts. So I set off to finding an idea that would fuse these together. After thinking about it for a while, I decided to find an old rim and use it as a canvas for my drawing.

But first I needed to find a rim. So I went to the local wreckers and I found an old rim for 10 bucks. I was quite happy about it since it was my first automotive related purchase. And as required by our teacher, we had to get inspiration from an artist, which we were to find. The first artist that came to my mind was one that I had seen in an art exhibition recently. He was Engin Korkmaz. I really liked his artwork. When it was finally time to start working on the project, I took my rim and took it to school, which people made a big fuss about. Slowly the rim started to come alive and Im still working on it. When Im finished with it I’m thinking about making it into a table, which I think would make a great Maker Project.
